September 19, 2010. American scientist Pedro Mascheroni attempted to sell electromagnetic pulse (EMP) technology to an FBI agent he believed was a Venezuelan official. According to reports, Mascheroni said that Venezuela could cause an explosion over New York that would result in an electromagnetic pulse that he contended would not kill anybody, but would destroy all of the electric power in New York.
